New Chechen Bible completed

A new Bible in the Chechen language has been completed.

The entire Chechen language Bible was released by the Institute of Bible Translation.

It was worked on by an international team of translators for over 15 years.

There are around 1.5 million native Chechen speakers.

The initial print-run of the Chechen Bible is 2,000 copies.

The Institute of Bible Translation said: “This is not a large number, but we hope that it will be enough to satisfy the needs of libraries, churches and interested readers."
